I had the honor of collaborating with the metal band DAGOBA to create the cover artwork for their ninth album, Different Breed.

Shawter, the band’s lead singer, gave me complete creative freedom while guiding me through the album’s central themes. The goal was to create an image that reflected the power and duality explored in their music.

My work usually focuses on figures filled with humanity, so I embraced the challenge of stepping outside my comfort zone by stripping these figures of their human qualities to create something dark and enigmatic. This process allowed me to explore brutality and strangeness while preserving the subtle emotional depth that defines my work.

This collaboration was an especially rewarding experience, bringing my artistic influences together with the world of Different Breed. I hope the resulting artwork amplifies the album’s intensity while adding a new visual dimension to its music.
